What color is your patio furniture?
The back yard has become more of an extension of the house than it ever was. We now consider our patio like another room in the house and decorate it accordingly.
This summer make color the focus of your garden, not only will your flowers bloom in all their colors, your outdoor furniture will brighten your days and your environment with bright lime green, orange, yellow or blue. Earth tones continue to be in style.
White has been for a long time a bright choice, and it could be livened up with splashes of colors by using cushions and colorful accessories, you can now be bold and make the color not the supporting element of your patio design, but the main player.
You can forget about white plastic which now represents only a small fraction of the outdoor market, it is bright colored synthetic materials like manmade wicker or rosin that steal the show. These do not even require any cushions.
But white and black are not yet ready to disappear without a fight. French garden furniture is still a very viable choice, should you decide to go that way, then you cannot expect to find it in a variety of colors. In this type of white is traditional and remains the favorite as a patio furniture color choice, although it might at some vendors be available in one or two other colors.
Another very modern way to use white or black in you outdoor setting, is to use black wicker furniture with bright pink or lime cushions, or simply with white cushions, although these would require more care. An absolutely stunning, modern look.
Patio umbrellas do not play second violin to furniture, they now sport fancy mechanisms and fantastic forms, and can be placed anywhere. They come in many shades (no pun intended) and colors to jazz up your patio , as well as sizes, they no longer are content to be at the center of the table, use them at the corner of decks or pools, to shade a bench at the far end of the garden. One good thing about the patio umbrellas is that you can use them to hang on garden lights to help you light up your patio. Lights come in all colors and will add color at night. For some different kind of lighting you might consider a relatively new and cool solar light that comes in a mason jar, it is cool to the touch and little kids love to play with them, you can read more about the Sun Jar at Internet Home Alliance.
Summer always seems too short, brighten up your back yard with colorful outdoor furniture and enjoy it as long as possible.
